To acquaint people on intellectual property and their role on protecting intellectual property rights, the MMSU-ASRC showcased the paper show on   “Intellectual Property and You” for the months of January to March 2008 at the University Main Library Lobby. Consisting of  16 panels, the paper show emphasized that “Just like the owners of physical property—cars, stores, houses—intellectually or artificially gifted people have the right to own their creations and protect them from those who would try to steal them. IP  involves creations of the human mind. It can take the form of artistic works: songs, movies, comic book illustrations, buildings. But IP also includes scientific and technological innovations: compact discs (CDs), artificial hearts, bicycles, a new variety of rice.”
