To join the world in the celebration of the 62nd Year of the United Nations Organization, the ASRC conducted a presentation on “Fighting Against Aids: Paving the Way to a Healthier Living” through a lecture, film viewing and paper show at the Baay Elementary School, City of Batac, Ilocos Norte, on October 17, 2007. ASRC Area Director Lucena R. Felipe served as the resource person. Ninety-four (94) pupils, teachers and parents  participated in the presentation. A quiz was conducted after the lecture  using the Philippine American Friendship, 1946-2006 foot rulers as prizes  to winners.

On the same day, the film “Phonics and  Fables” was presented to 101  kindergarten and Grade I pupils and 3 teachers of the school.  This is in  line with the ASRC and American Studies Association (ASA) in the  Ilocos  program of helping improve the  quality of English teaching through  film  viewing.

The activities were in partnership with the Mariano Marcos State  University Extension Directorate with the full support of the University  Administration.
